Our beautiful Precious Earth boxes have been designed and made by Atlas Packaging in Devon using FSC cardboard. They have been printed with water based inks and are fully biodegradable. We hope that they will not be discarded like most packaging, but instead will be treasured for many years to come and reused for all sorts of projects once they have been emptied.
Some of our ideas are to use them as gift boxes, or for storing crafts materials or something lovely to keep special items safe.
They could even be used instead of shoe boxes for filling for Christmas charities or filled with Precious Earth, sown with native wildflower seeds and used as flower box emergency stations for bees and butterflies!

Part of our recipe is biochar, to house our microbial helpers and help with carbon sequestration. Woodland Biochar are a lovely family company who use coppice wood from trees they have planted. There's been a lot of hype around biochar recently and we want to make sure that what we use is best for the environment as well as being best for the garden.
